The Mauritshuis is a state museum in The Hague. The collection consists mainly of works of art from the Netherlands' Golden Age (17th century) and contains many well-known works by famous painters such as Johannes Vermeer, Rembrandt van Rijn, Paulus Potter and Frans Hals. The museum is located next to the 'Torentje' - the office of the Minister President. In addition to the permanent collection, temporary exhibitions are held regularly.
